The Comparative Research On Enterprise Radical Innovation And Incremental Innovation

With the technology developing more quickly,the life cycle of product becomes shorter as well as the competition of market grows more turbulent.Some new technologies that can create new industrials and bring changes to established industrials strike lots of established leader companies fierily,meanwhile,they impact deeply on the theory and management methods rooted in technology innovation.So,a totally different innovation pattern-Radical Technology innovation arouses much more attention in the technology management research field.The concept of radical innovation is related to the incremental innovation.The traditional management theory is a summary of the incremental innovation management.With the radical innovation playing an increasingly important role in business competition,the traditional management theory has been unable to meet the requirements of business management.The establishment of the management theory adapted to radical innovation becomes an urgent problem to be resolved in the field of technology management.The emergence of theory is based on the fully cognitive of study.Based on the summarization of the research production by other scholars,after comparing and analyzing the radical innovation and incremental innovation,this paper pointes the difference and the different requirements on the market,organization,and technology strategy.On the basis of comparison between this two innovative,this paper indicates that which radical innovation or incremental innovation paid excessive attention will lead to enterprises enter the technological trap.So we must pay equal attention to radical innovation management and incremental innovation management for establishing sustainable competitive advantage.Through these researches,this paper combines the management of radical innovation and incremental innovation,focusing on constructing the managing system of these two innovations based on the technological cycle and scanning technology.Finally,because the mature companies are easier to fail in the face of radical innovation compared to the small companies,the paper focuses on the specific management strategies when the mature companies facing radical innovation.Then this paper analyzes the following aspects to make mature companies coping with the radical innovation successfully:technology strategic choice,organizational structure,organizational learning,inner and outer knowledge integration and the exploitation modes of new production.
