The wares exegetics is a new learning which bases on traditional exegetics and combines archaeology, history. The wares exegetics mainly explores character and history of wares through reviewing the background and origin of wares which aims at their historical development process, and then naming them. The XIAPEI as a kind of noble lady's baldric in ancient China has agelong history, but the people's understanding to it gradually becomes blurry because of times interval. In order to enhance acquaintance, this disquisition will explore origin, background, influencing factors and development of XIAPEI which use the way of delving source and searching transformation through literature. As the researching main of this disquisition, after Song Dynasty, the XIAPEI as a sort of robe was confirmed and there were strict rank on color, quality and veins, but the using of the XIAPEI in Song Dynasty was disordered. The using of the XIAPEI in Ming Dynasty was fastigium, there are large difference between literature recordation and practical using. Through researching the XIAPEI in Ming Dynasty and relative materials, we can approve the identity of people and degree and validate facticity of literature. In concretely exploring, this disquisition will mainly discuss the history in lengthways orientation and the color and veins which represent culture in every dynasty in landscape orientation, thus completely realize the status of XIAPEI system in Chinese convenance and clarify the meaning of culture, which increase more understanding of ancient Chinese convenance and habilatory system and knowledge of ancient habilatory researching. Moreover, it can find out the difference of excavated wares and traditional exegetics to appellation of object by this probative method, which as a starting point of wares researching can more increase the researching method and enrich content of the wares exegetics, so it is useful to develop the wares exegetics to become the part of traditional exegetics.
