Nowadays information industry has been one of the most energetic pillar industrys absolutely in world economic sphere. Telecommunication industry is a profitable and rapid developed and high technique communication domain,so the competetition of this market is very fierce. The intenfication of competition of telecommunication market and the development of telecommunication operation at home and abroad demand that the operation pattern of domestic telecommunication enterprises be gradually changed to an advanced international pattern which is base on information and which focus on customer and data. A new competition situation appears after innovation and reconstruction of domestic telecommunication enterprises. Competition turned from network resource to servce. It is a perfect competitive market, and customer resource is the competition focus.This essay combines theory with example. Both qualitative research and quantitative research are used. This essay, based on customer segementation theory, from the view of comsumer behavour, contruct a customer segementation model with clustering algorithm which is applied to a telecommunictian enterprise. Investigation data is used to get the features of customers in telecommunication industry. And the customers of an enterprise are segemented according to the features. After the segementation, feature descriptions are made for each segementation,and a customer segementation matrix is constrcted.Clustering algorithm is used to construct customer segementation model which is applied in specific industry and specific enterprise. That is valuable in both theory and practice. It is hoped that the essay do contribute some valuable suggestion to the development of China telecommunication operator enterprises.
