| The rural credit cooperatives (RCCs) play an important role in the development of farmers, agriculture and the rural economy and they are the leading force of the rural financial institutions in China. So the reform of RCCs has direct effect on the continuous development of agriculture, rural economy and the increase of farmers'income. The reform of RCCs has been implemented in all over the country. But Scholars have different viewpoints about that if the reform can improve performance of RCCs.This paper, with the purpose of solving the present problems in reform of RCCs and disputed in theoretical studies, has established a theoretical model on the relation between the reform of unify juridical person and the performance of RCCs. The model is on the basis of the property systerm theory, and treats the coordinated mechanism and the structure of corporate governance as the media variables. This paper tries to cause a heuristic argument exploring the relation between the reform of unify juridical person and the performance of RCCs within the framework in three dimensions of operating performance, agricultural sustain performance and associate service performance. Besides that, a survey has been carried out in Shanxi and Hunan province. In this way, this paper pool 106 samples and further the study in data analyzing.The findings of the empirical study illustrates that the reform has not obvious direct effect but has great indirect effect on the performance of RCCs through the coordinated mechanism and structure of corporate governance. The coordinated mechanism has greatest effect on the operating performance and smallest effect on associate service performance. The structure of corporate governance has greatest effect on the associate service performance and smallest effect on agricultural sustain performance. The effect on agricultural sustain performance come from the operating performance is greater than on the associate service performance. |
