With China entering into WTO ,Automotive industry developed quickly companying with integration of globe economy.Lot of automotive companies built their workshops in China ,So automotive parts industry faces strong competition than ever before .They already founded international quality system to face competition and management method of quality to inhabit a good position.But facing the requirements of quality of production ,they have not founded appropriate method of quality management,So the quality of production can not meet the requirements of OEM(Original Equipment Manufactory) and make it not satisfied .Hella company is a joint venture company and mainly to produce automotive lighting. Hella always pursues the goal of quality management of zero defect and makes OEM satisfied completely.With company developed ,there are some problems of quality management. Especially CLR(Customer Line Reject) is higher than quality objective.Method of quality management is so limited to resolve the problem of CLR and can not meet the requirements of OEM.So influence the developement of company.So new mothod and mode of quality management and quality improving should be adopted .Six sigma method and improving mode can exactly to meet customer requirements and is a effective method to improve competition.Measure the process of defect process ,then define the status of process and compared ,and find the mainly factors to influence process.Optimize process and reduce variance .It can makes the process improving and arrives at six sigma level even more than six sigma level by continuing to difine-measure-process analysis-process control.So six sigma can provide a good method to apply for reference and improve quality management of company. The thesis takes Hella for an example ,Aiming at the phenomenon of CLR is higher than quality obective ,analyse and find that there are some problems to deal with CLR process to use the present method of quality management.Firstly,it lacks of holding of organization structure to deal with the process of CLR of OEM,and can not cooperate when deal with quality problems between departments.Members of other departments are not active even not attend.Quality problems only belong to quality department and not found a really team to resolve quality problems. Secondly,as analysed the root cause of CLR ,judged the causes according to experience not data.Other department will deal this things and make data not true.So can not find the root cause and make a circle system of quality management and lead to quality problems happened repeatly .Thirdly,there is no data to hold when apply for present method to validate and define permanent corrective action .It will waste time and can not assure the effect.Only to validate corrective action to use the message from customer.Fourthly,staffs did not attend when deal with CLR management because of lacking of promoting system,Fifthly,there is not idea of PDCA and make quality management pause the surface to deal with customer.The thesis put forword to applying for six sigma method to resolve present quality problem .It mainly appears these aspects:Firstly,six sigma management has so many characristics ,customer is center and make a decision according to data, to optimize process by reduced the variance of process .It is active to realize defective process improving by cooperation of six sigma team. And Hella need the idea of six sigma to resolve quality management.It will be held by the strong organization structure when deal with process of zero defect .Member responsibility is defined by the organizaton of structure and can avoid the problem not cooperate between members of department.Thirdly,It can teach staff to use six sigma tools to resolve quality problems by the training for diffirent level staff.It will become a quality culture by publicizing six sigma and make all staffs would like to attend quality improving .Forthly, steps of six sigma practicing and the problems should be paid attention to can help six sigma to be pushed step by step to prevent wrong direction when use six sigma method to deal with CLR.Fifthly,devided the CLR problems into three phases by founded six sigma quality control process,and there are diffirent timing and responsibility to ensure the plan of improvement of CLR.First,we can find the direction of quality improving by defining problem of CLR.Definitude the requirements of customer and assue the scope and objective of quality improvement ,found the six sigma team of quality improvement.It can assure to find out the critical characteristic by drawing the process flow chart . Secondly,It can guarantee the precise and truth of data by measure system analysis and clear up the variance of measure system in this phase.Thirdly ,analysis the process of CLR mainly analysis the data of defective process and validate the relationship of cause and effect ,then define the critical factors and design the experiments ,So it can realize the quality improvement .Then controlled all the process included intergration of system,learning lessons of quality improving hornor members to attend the quality improving ,supervise the fruit and use statistic process control .It can make all the quality improving of CLR. Controlled by using six sigma tools of quality improving and six sigma software when control every phases of all process .At last,application for quality improving of Ford project with six sigma method and OEM give high appraisement for the effect.Thereby,it proves that it is feasible to apply for six sigma method on theory and successful in practice.It can aim at the quality management situation to apply for six sigma method and resolve actual problems ,and also can improve the level of management.
