In different stages of development, Enterprises' operating management should have different patterns. In the background of China's reform and opening up and the excellent situation of scientific development, China Telecom is also comprehensively push forward reform and seek strategic transformation path to achieve faster and better development of enterprise. China Telecom's business model will enable it to change smoothly from the traditional basic network operator to a modern integrated information service provider.In recent years, the economic and technology environment of telecommunications industry had undergone drastic change than before. In this context, China Telecom's traditional voice business is faced with a great challenge, "People have telephone not only for voice communications. Based on Internet and IP technology's more new business and value-added services, such as streaming media, SMS, ring tones, videos, entertainment on-line, family education and so on, fashion and stylish businesses guide users new demands. Market changes rapidly. "At the same time, China Telecom faces the competition of Mobile, China Unicom, China Netcom, CRC, satellite communication, and other enterprise in the market. After 3G licenses issued, operators will have the opportunity to operating all businesses. Facing competition in the market and opportunities, China Telecom's drawbacks of traditional business model increasingly exposed. Referring to the practices of international telecom giant, the reform of business model has become to be a strategic choice for the sustained development of China Telecom.In accordance with the composition and characteristics of business model, the paper researches and analyzes the necessity of the reform of China's telecommunications business model. The new business model will allow enterprises to be more able to adapt to the demand of economic globalization and competition in the market. In this paper, it provides a feasible reference program for China's telecommunications business.
