Studies On The Women's Human Capital Investment Of The Rural Household Based On The Survey In Dengfeng, Qixian, Lankao And Tongbai County

More and more people have realized that human capital is an important factor of modern economy development. And some countries' successfully developed in economy take us a good example. Human capital theory plays an important role in world economic sustainable development and Chinese economic growth. Emphasis has been put on women as a special group by the economists. Sources show return rate for women is higher than that of men. And this provides the space for women human investment. In light of economics we find that so-called sexed crimination really is not only an economic problem, but also a social problem.Hence based on the economics theory and sociological theory, the paper analyzes the investments in women's human capital by means of the difference between the investments in man's human capital and women's. The survey from Henan provides the base for us to discuss the investments in rural women's human capital, and this paper, from micro-views of rural family, analyzes the current situation, influence factors of rural family's human capital investment, and how rural family to carry on the capital investment decision, It also puts forward some countermeasures to improve women's human capital investment of rural family on this basis.The main conclusions of this paper are as followed:Firstly, discusses the definition and characteristics of women's human capital, female human capital play most important pole in rural Henan. But because the investment subjects are different, the remarkable difference will exist in the investment efficiency of the human capital. Therefore, the local government and township enterprises lack the motivation and capability in human capital investment. So household become more and more important to invest female human capital.Secondly, by analysis the household's behavior of investment on every stage of rural female's lifecycle. Based on family decision theory, find that: the family parents as the major investors used invest less in the girls, the results show that the gap of the human capital in different gender is retain.Third, analysis the relationship between the women's human capital investment and the family's conditions, the results show that husband's human capital level is one of the most important reasons, at the same time, the number of having children and the children's year affect the investment demand.Forth, household pay poor attention to women human capital, the farmer's willingness to investment in human capital is also not strong besides the hard constraint of the income level. Result from two factors mainly: one is married women's labor supply which is discontinued. The other is that, before investment, households always think that today's cost is too high and tomorrow's benefit too low. So the household pay less attention to the adult married-women , and the women are lack of motivation to themselves. This is realistic core in the paper.Fifth, the results show that not only there is a great gap of the human capital investment between the different rural families, and between the gender, but also there is a great gap between the old and the child.We conclude that investments in rural women's human capital play a positive role in economic development. And we should pay more attention to it.
