Qing Dao, which became the trading port city and industry and commerce center in North China from opening the port to the erupting of Sino-Japanese War disturbed its normal development during the short 40 years. It was considered as the miracle in Chinese history. Simultaneously, as a result of the special position in Chinese history, its currency finance presents the characteristics of "ten thousand countries finances", Qing Dao Played an important part in the process of urbanization.The article is to be directed by Marxist historical theory and makes full use of knowledge of currency and finance subject to enable this article valuable, tries to fill the blank of this domain. This article has reappeared the currency finance development of Qingdao from a not well-known seashore village to an important port city in North China. Attempt to find the reason which guarantees the economical development of Qing Dao through the release and circulation of the currency, which present the chaotic situation. As to the financial construction of Qing Dao in modern times, this article emphatically discusses the business situation and analyzes the function of them in different time. This article expounds that the finance industry of Qing Dao is international and multi-level. It also discusses social function of finance function, the relationship between finance and agriculture, industry and commerce as well as the contribution to urbanization in Qing Dao. In addition, it discusses the financial relationship between Qing Dao and other port city representatively as Shanghai, attempt to conclude the finance development characteristics of port cities in modern times and present the mutual function of the central market and secondary market.
