Research On Sustainable Exploitation And Utilization Of Guizhou Province Coal Resource

The sources of energy, as an indispensable material base for the existence and development of human beings, are the important strategic resources for economic and social development of a nation. Coal is not only China's main sources of energy but also the main energy resources Guizhou Province possesses. In the structure of energy production and energy consumption, coal occupies pretty large proportion. The exploitation and utilization of coal resources has been the fundamental source of means of living and production for the residents in the vast areas of Guizhou Province for a long time. Hence, coal resources play a decisive role in the social and economic development of the province. However, owing to various natural and historical factors, the exploitation and utilization of coal resources in Guizhou Province is at the comparatively low level. The rate of recycling is low in exploiting process. There is serious waste of coal energy. There are prominent problems concerning ecology, environment and safety. Moreover, there is inconsistency between the exploitation and utilization of energy and the protection of ecological environment as well as economic and social development. Therefore, how to exploit and utilize coal resources in Guizhou reasonably and scientifically to promote the harmonious growth of economy, society, energy, environment and population is a significant and realistic problem in exploiting and utilizing the coal resources in Guizhou Province. Closely linked to the need to develop society and economy, and based upon the situation of the exploitation and utilization of coal resources in Guizhou, the thesis put a great stress on the analysis of the primary problems existing in Guizhou's energy exploitation and utilization, then discusses and proposes feasible suggestions and measures with which coal resources in Guizhou Province can be exploited and utilized in a sustainable way. The researching on this issue may be of theoretical and practical value, which is beneficial to economic and social development of Guizhou Province and serves as the reference for making policies on energy development.
