An Empirical Analysis On The Impact Of EU Trade Restrictions On Chinese Merchant Export

Since established diplomatic relations, the trade total quantity unceasingly rises between China and EU. The trade volume of two sides grows more than100 times from 1975 to 2006. The more closer the economics and trade relation, the more important the role played by the trade policy in bilateral trade. Now the trade restriction measures of EU have the enormous influence on Chinese export commodity. The trade friction quantity stays at a high level in bilateral trade. The friction domain expands from the low attachment value product to the high attachment value product, and involves the Chinese export commodity scope gradually to proliferate from the single product to the entire industry. The anti-dumping (AD), safeguard measure (SG), technical barrier to trade (TBT), intellectual property rights (TRIPS) become four new trends in trade friction between China and EU, which also are the paper emphatically studies.Through economic theory analysis, the paper firstly summarize the trade barrier inherent evolution laws: the barrier standard change from quantification to not quantification; the trade protective measures become more recessiveness and more hiding; AD and SG has the tendency that continue to be used frequently, TBT and TRIPS will be unceasingly strengthened as the core new trade barrier in the long run. Secondly, the paper describes the influence about trade restriction measures of EU playing on Chinese export commodities. On this base, the key point is to be analysis thirdly. In this part, paper uses empirical methods analysis three aspect: the different trade measures refer to different products; the different trade measures have the different influence on product competitive power in EU market; based on the trade war between China and EU, analysis the different trade measures have the different influence on export price and quantity. Through these empirical analysis, paper found that AD measure has quick influence on the import commodities'price and quantity, inhibitory action extremely remarkable, and involves majority Chinese export products; the initiated conditions of SG is simpler than AD, then the inhibitory action to products'quantity and price is gentler, also the products extension involved is smaller; TBT influence is more direct to quantity, indirect to the price, especially more infection to the exportation amount; TRIPS, latency period is long also the hidden trouble is big ,will has negative infection on our hi-tech industry development. Lastly, paper gives the tendency analysis for trade restriction measures of EU.In sum, the influence of AD on Chinese exportation will stay constant rise; TBT unifies with TRIPS will be able to become the mainstream of trade restriction measures in EU; since SG and TPSSM simpler initiating procedure, they will be very possibly become another important method in the future for EU trade protection.
