Research On The Transition Of Pattern Of Foreign Trade Growth In Zhejiang

Foreign trade growth is the center of foreign trade for all of thecountries and areas in the world and it is an important factor for theeconomic growth and social development. The pattern of foreign tradegrowth means the pattern of combination of all factors which promote theforeign trade growth and the pattern of. foreign trade growth which ispromoted by those factors. In a word, it means the structure type of thesource of the foreign trade growth. The pattern of foreign trade growthinfluences the quality of foreign trade growth greatly. All of the countriesand areas in the world are promoting the foreign trade growth, at the sametime, they are studying and seeking the pattern and approach for theforeign trade growth.Since the Chinese government adopts the policy of the reform andopenness, the foreign trade develops a lot and it is the engine of theeconomic growth in Zhejiang. The foreign trade in Zhejiang is the representative of the miracle of the foreign trade in China as the speed ofgrowth and the upgrade of products. But, the extensive pattern of foreigntrade growth restricts the development of foreign trade in Zhejiang.Since the 1980's, the government pays highly attention on thetransition of the pattern of foreign trade growth. It is essential forZhejiang to accomplish the transition of the pattern of foreign tradegrowth from extensive pattern to intensive pattern. At the same time, thetransition of the pattern of foreign trade growth in Zhejiang is facing newproblems. So, it is important for us to appraise the transition of the patternof foreign trade growth, analyze the necessity, the problem and therestricting factors. Although there are many researches on the transitionof the pattern of foreign trade growth, there are less detailed andcomprehensive appreciations.Based on statistics from 1986 to 2004 of Zhejiang, this paper tries tomake a comprehensive analysis on the above issues. This paper involvesfive parts. Chapter 1: the introduction of background,significance,content and research techniques, as well as some problems and possiblefresh ideas of this paper. Chapter 2: the explaination of the transition ofthe pattern of foreign trade growth adopting the theory of dynamiccomparative advantage and strategic trade policy. Chapter 3: theconstruction of the index for the appreciation of the transition of thepattern of foreign trade and the introduction of the means of appreciation. Chapter 4: It is the core of this paper. The comprehensive appreciation ofthe pattern of foreign trade growth in Zhejiang Chapter 5: Firstly, analyzethe necessity of the transition of pattern of foreign trade growth inZhejiang; then, study the problem and restricting factors; at last, someproposals on how to transit the pattern of foreign trade growth inZhejiang.
