Location Seletion Of Foreign Direct Investment In GuangXi

Investment Location,including Research on Location Theory,Foreign Investion Theory,Trans-Investion theory and Industrial Organization theory , is the important lesson of international academics. It become one of theory forefront of Business Management,Economics,Geography and Politicai science. FDI has been developing in a high speed in china since china's opening to the world. In FDI inward stock,China is the No.1 in developing countries,and only next to the USA in the world. But,FDI in China appears seriously regional imbalance appears obviously regional differences: eastern region occupies 87.84%,central region occupies 9.09% and west region occupies 3.08% in the actual use of FDI from 1983 to 2002. Central and western regions together only accounted for 12.17%. But,in Central and western regions,Foreign Investion is focus on several provinces and cities of them.GuangXi is the only coastal provinces of western regions in China,and the most convenient access to the sea,It has the location advantage of coastal,border and riparian,but it is not optimistic that attracting foreign investment.First,this article uses the method of Linear Regression Analyze,chooses the variables of Gross Domestic Product,per Gross Domestic Product,wage,the length of road of every area,the export and import ratio of foreign investing enterprise,the GDP ratio of the third industry,postal business,the number of industrial enterprise to set up economic model,analyzes location factor of attracting foreign investing in 1995 and 2003 in GuangXi,and reveals the change process of distribution factor of foreign direct investment in China. The result of study shows that the important factor are the low communication costs,the low wage and cluster economy of industrial enterprises attracting foreign direct investment to China during the central of 90's. The important factors that influences the flow and the distribution of foreign direct investment have been the economic level,Market scale,Market development and the cluster economy of the third industrial in China since 2001. It shows that foreign investment enterprises have more interested in investing in China.The third passage is the most important part in this article. This part chooses a few of variables related to research,applies the method of linear regression Analyze and factor Analyze to set up two economic model,and analyzes the distribution factor that foreign investment in GuangXi. The result shows,the Agriculture and the third industry are the flow and the distribution of foreign direct investment in GuangXi.In the last part of this article,Basing on the economic model analyze,analyze the advantage that influences the distribution of foreign direct investment,and the problems that exist in Guangxi. At the same time,According to the result of the second passage in this article,basing on the result of the third passage. Some policy suggestions will be given for GuangXi on how to attract foreign direct investment.
