Studies On China-ASEAN Free Trade Area

In 2002, China and ASEAN signed the"Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation between China and ASEAN"which provides the groundwork for the eventual establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA) by 2010. It's the world's third free trade area after NAFTA and EU, and a market with 1.700 million consumers, in fact, accounting for one-third of the world's population. It's believed that the emergence of China-ASEAN FTA will rapidly develop the economic growth in this region.This paper focuses on the theoretical analysis on the establishment and development of the economic and trade relations between China and ASEAN. And through the experienced and realistic researches along with the application of the theoretical analysis as well as the applied statistic and data analyses, the paper has in-depth analyzed on the growth factors, growth and its potentials of the establishment of China and ASEAN FTA.In order to have a detailed analysis on the economic and trade growth and its potentials we thoroughly analyze on the inevitability and significance of the establishment of China-ASEAN FTA by using the theoretical and realistic approaches. We then have the further study on the economic and trade situations of China-ASEAN FTA to understand the growth situations, factors and potentials of China and ASEAN economy and trade along with obstacles that confront China-ASEAN FTA.We now have our research result that the establishment of China-ASEAN FTA is indispensably needed to both the regional cooperation and development of China-ASEAN as it will be significantly beneficial to the economic and trade relations, exports expansion, promotion of investment, industrialization, inputs and the implementation of sole market of China-ASEAN FTA in order to be competitive in regionalization and globalization. And finally we have the countermeasures and conclusions for the establishment of China-ASEAN FTA.
