The electric power industry is a industry with a high resource consumption, sulfur dioxide is the major product of the coal consumption in the Thermal Power Plant, and it is one of the most pollution sources to the atmosphere environment. Therefore, it is urgently to put the flue gas desulphurization project into practice. With the integration of relative present research on desulphurization project at home and abroad, this paper tries to grasp the internal practice of Shiheng Power Plant, then does the optimal selection and evaluation of the desulphurization technology, the result proves to be ideality. In support of previous research experiences and numerous data and information, by means of the analysis of the project construction running system and the comparison between the project before construction and after construction, the research concludes the evaluation results of its environment and social benefit. The paper finally discusses about the subjects of investment estimation and economic evaluation to the desulphurization engineering construction which is adoptive. The research is capable of reference for the study on the flue gas desulphurization project with similar conditions in the Thermal Power Plant.
