The multiple attribute decision-making (MADM) methodologies have been successfully applied in many practical problems for engineering, finances, market analysis, management and others. Decision is usually made under many indexes from some available alternatives, that is, these alternatives should be compared, ranked or chosen. Therefore, it's important to research on MADM methods for solving the practical problems. This paper puts forwards the combination between weighted grey correlation analysis and technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), and then establishes the model of weighted grey correlation technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (WGC-TOPSIS) through studying on grey correlation analysis and TOPSIS in order to perfect the MADM under the "poor information" environment. At last, we take comprehensive evaluation on technology and economy of the JP gas pool's turbo-charged schemes in Luodai natural gas field as a case to elaborate the method and prove its feasibility. The outcomes of the text are as follows:(1) We give the combinational weight of index using the modified AHP and the method of coefficient of variation. The weight not only stands for the experts' experience, but the intrinsic rules of the numbers.(2) According to the handicaps of traditional grey correlation analysis, we decide the grey correlation degree by using weighted grey correlation analysis, when taking the difference among the attributes' weights into consideration.(3) We establish the method of WGC-TOPSIS by using grey correlation degree as decision-making unit but not the Euclidean distance to extend traditional TOPSIS. This method can avoid the shortcoming of TOPSIS when dealing with the problems under incomplete information. And we also put forwards the grey relative similarity degree as the criteria for scheme optimization. (4) We take comprehensive evaluation on technology and economy of the JP gas pool's turbo-charged schemes in Luodai natural gas field as a case of MADM, so as to examine the method of WGC-TOPSIS. The results show that the method is valid and feasible, and the optimum scheme adapts to the practical project, which provides important information for the final scheme. In the meanwhile, we also get inference from the comparisons among several methods applying for the case: regardless of which method we adopt, traditional TOPSIS or the modified ones, we must think fully of the two things: weighted the decision matrix before or the decision unit after.
