Research On Value Assessment Issues Of International Intellectual Property Trade

As the further development of the knowledge-intensive Economy and the Economic Globalization, the amount of Intellectual Property (IP) in international trade increases continuously. The products and service refer to IP in international trade exist anywhere. IP in itself has been a new type of trade, too. A lot of articles from the legal or trading point of view concerning IP appeared in the research field, but few articles touch the issues of IP value assessment. Therefore, my choice of this thesis will possibly meet with challenges.There are four chapters in this thesis. Chapter one starts from the IP trade history, the current domestic and overseas study situations, and the international protect for IP and the Knowledge Economy, discusses the main contents of the Knowledge Economy theory.Chapter two analyses from the international IP trade evaluation, excludes the traits, the meanings and principals of IP value assessment. It is very serious to evaluate IP during it join in the international trade. The evaluation and analysis for IP comes from the theory of evaluating intangible assets directly. It embodies the intangible assets evaluation theory and the quantification process concentrated. It's also the idiographic application.Chapter three introduces the evaluation factor in international trade that should be considered. By presenting the cost in IP, different developing period and comparing the protecting conditions taken by several countries, concludes the influence to IP value assessment from economic cost, lifecycles and the law conditions.Chapter four concludes the all-purpose methods for IP evaluation currently are costing method, marketing method and lucre method, and each one has its own limitation. Focuses on the efficient and limitation of the current IP value assessment, due to the IP value assessment that has deeply uncertainty and obscurity, which proves the necessary to quote the fuzzy synthetic valuation methods. On the base of such theory, the dissertation makes the further value assessment for IP applying the fuzzy synthetic valuation method. It reflects the relevant factors that inflect the technology-related intangible valuation more comprehensively. Therefore the valuation outcome is more comprehensive and more reasonable.On the base of concluding the whole article, the chapter five provides several analyses on improving the value assessment of IP in our country and chapter six concludes it could disease the uncertainty of IP from its obscurity by using fuzzy synthetic valuation method, and then promote the veracity and reliability of the IP value assessment.
