Study On Pricing Of Railway Container Based On Revenue Management

The level of container industry has been the symbol of the national carrying trade.The railway container has important effect on the market of national container, because of Chinese inland with a vast territory. For some reason, the railway container hasn't make work. Some professionals think that the reasonless price is the serious reason. So this paper studies on the container pricing based on the revenue management.First of all, this paper introduces the revenue management concept. Then, this paper defines the concept and model and describes the conception model of the railway container revenue management. The paper pays attention to the pricing of the railway container.The issue of the railway container price has two aspects: pricing and price regulation. So this paper analyzes these problems firstly. This paper suggest that the government should slacken price regulationThen, this paper establishes optimal pricing model of the railway container not considering empty container transportation based on revenue management. Then the model is analyzed and discussed numerically and a series of characters and management principles are drawn.Empty container transportation can't be avoided, and it has effect on the railway container pricing. So this paper analyses the pricing strategy of the railway container considering empty container transportation.
