Study On Operation Mode And Key Factors Of Collaborative Cross-Docking For Chain Retailers In China

Owning advanced system of logistics distribution and modern distribution centers is an important factor for chain retailers in China to heighten operation efficiency and competition power. Combining with the facts of biggish chain retailers, 3PL, and suppliers of information technology in China, this paper researches operation mode of collaborative Cross-Docking for chain retailers in China and key factors influencing the operation performance of this mode, with the aim which offering a kind of mode and method for chain retailers in China to reduce stock, accelerate product turnover and then improve the distribution efficiency.First, conception, characteristics and operation condition of Cross-Docking and the difficulties of operating Cross-Docking at present in China are analyzed. Then connotation of collaborative Cross-Docking is proposed, characteristics of collaborative Cross-Docking are analyzed based on that. Application value of collaborative Cross-Docking for chain retailers in China is analyzed.Second, operation mode of collaborative Cross-Docking for chain retailers in China is proposed, operation progresses of collaborative Cross-Docking are analyzed from two levels: decision level and operation level. Support technologies for collaborative Cross-Docking are analyzed. Instituting ways for time quota are proposed and time quota management of collaborative Cross-Docking for chain retailers in China is analyzed.
