Xinjiang has very bundant tour resource, which has the high status, the outsanding features, the excellent combination, the great capacity, the many functions, the great monopoly. However, the tourism in Xinjiang whose traveling resources have comparitive advantages, don't gain advantage position when it is competive with this in other district. The traditional comparitive advantage theory is limited and ineffective in the realistic application. It expressed that the tourism in Xinjiang can't stay around the only existing comparitive advantages, but demand to conversion this kind of comparative advantages to competitive advantages. Therefore, the tourism in Xinjiang should take promoting competition ability as the core of development. To go deep in to study the tourism in Xinjiang has important valuation in realism and theories.The purpose of this thesis lies in applying the competition ability theories for the tourism. And, the thesis research the method to analysis the tourism competition ability, building up a detailed index system for evaluating the district tourism competition ability, make use of the objective method to analysis the travel to the tourism competition ability in Xinjiang.The main contents of this thesis: Firstly, put forward the realistic background and necessity of the thesis research in the introduction part, and tallied up the research result of the past people in related realm. Secondly, the chapter two introduced present condition of the tourism in Xinjiang from the industry scale, the industry position and the problem in the development. Thirdly, it made use of the principal component analysis method and the cluster analysis method to make empirical evaluation of the tourism in Xinjiang at chapter three and chapter four. Finally, according to the analysis of the last two chapters, and merging the experience of the aimed advices to the tourism competition ability in Xinjiang at chapter five and chapter six.
