The Research On China Elite Athletes' Unemployment Insurance

Establishing and improving unemployment insurance (U.I) policy isfundamental for national law system. Since 1986 with its establishment, the U.I system in China plays a positive role in various aspects such assupporting the social stability and playing more and more importantfunction in the social activities. But, with the reform of economic systemaccelerating its step continuously in our society, and the adjustment ofeconomic structure propelling itself profoundly and deeply, various newproblems pile up one after another in the economy turn, for example thegreat quantity of elite athletes can't get appropriate position after leavingtheir sports team and become unemployed person, furthermore, thisphenomenon is more and more serious in society. Therefore, how toimprove the system of unemployment insurance of elite athletes alsoseems to be important for the sustainable development of competitivesports.The research methods in this paper mainly are documentation study, contrast analysis study, logic inducement, interview with experts, questionnaire. The paper is mainly on various questions of unemploymentinsurance of elite athletes which exist in China.According to the unemployment situation of the retired elite athletesin recent years and the survey results of questionnaire in various districtsof the country, there are many problems on UI system of elite athletes inChina as follows: the legislation of unemployment insurance on eliteathletes is lagging behind, so are the athletes education and vocationalskills training, the of settling there life system can't adapt to the demandof economical development, the propaganda of the U.I is not enough, and the athletes career planning is imperfect and so on.Based on the existing problems on survey, the current situation inChina, and the lessons from the U.I of the developed countries, the articleputs forward how to consummate the unemployment insurance of eliteathletes in China. It comprehensively analyzes on consummating theunemployment insurance of elite athletes system, building up theunemployed allowance in the field of sports, improving training systemof employment, enhancing on the career guidance and the propaganda ofthe U.I policy and so on, which will help and steadily devetop the sportbusiness in China.
