In the regional economic development process, the quantity of well-known brands in one region indicates the economic development level of this region. The regional brand has a longer brand effect than the enterprise brand or the product brand. At the same time, it could drive the connection industry. At present, how to construct the regional brand still hasn't made up a mature systemic theory. So on the basis of the regional brand theory of our predecessors and the regional brand practice, this paper puts forward the construction model of regional brand. This article explains the model from the formation process and the support system. Among them, the formation process is the course element of the regional brand. This part establishes the advantaged-industry selection model, the index system of industry cluster and the regional brand property evaluation system. They make the formation process of regional brand can be controlled in these indexes. The support system is the safeguard condition of the regional brand. It mainly includes government and guild. Finally, on the basis of the industrial fact of the Gansu province, this article applies the construction model of regional brand to constructing the Gansu province regional brand. By the advantaged-industry selection model and a large amount of data, this article gets the nonferrous metal smelted industry and the petrochemical industry are the advantaged industries. So Gansu province must build their industry cluster and mold their regional brand. These important conclusions provide the undeveloped areas with an idea to build regional brand and promote region development.
