The Fixed Assets Investment Of Lanzhou And The Relation Between Itself And The Spatial Expansion Of City

Since the reform and development of China, Chinese economy develops quickly and the processes of industrialization and urbanization are faster. As a result, urban space expands and lots of the cultivated lands are swallowed. At the same time, it occurs that lands are used inefficiently. In order to control urban sprawl efficiently and to improve the efficiency of land use, gaining the result of smart growth, fixed assets investment will be studied and the index of spatial expansion of city will be explored in this thesis, which will be of great benefit to the urban decision-maker who can adjust and arrange the next developing program of city from the view of fixed assets investment. Furthermore, the components of fixed assets investments will be researched deeply, then based on these results the relation between fixed assets investments and the expansion of urban space will be studied which will be useful for the spatial expansion of the valley-basin city in west China.According to the study, the conclusions attained are as follows: From 1990 to 2004, the investment in innovation is the nuclear driving force of the expansion of urban build-up area in Lanzhou; The main driving forces of the expansion of urban build-up area in Lanzhou contain the construction and installation investment among the capital construction investment, the construction and installation investment, the purchase of equipment and instruments investment and others of the investment in innovation, concluding the new construction investment, the expansion investment and the reconstruction investment of the investment in innovation.
