With the market economy development, the brand economy appearance and the regional function transformation, the regional brand developmental strategy as the method of increasing the regional competitive ability and promoting the local economy fast development is playing a more and more vital role in the regional economy development, many areas proposed the thought of developing the regional economy through developing regional brand.This article elaborates the regional brand connotation and the function and the regional brand and the regional economy development inner link and mutually affected through analyzing the regional brand theory and the factor of affecting the regional economy development; At the same time, the study thinks the regional brand mainly promotes the regional economy development through two ways of intrinsic machine-made and the external mechanism through analyzing promoting mechanism of the regional brand promoting the regional economy development; And explains promoting the regional economy development mechanism difference of the regional brands which formed by the characteristic resources and the technical craft and the industrial clusters; Finally takes Gansu Province as the example, attempted to construct Gansu Province regional brand, and proposes some measures and suggestion in order to construct industry strong province and promote this local economy fast development through developing regional brand.
