The choice of entry mode is the key step for an enterprise to internationalize. Internationalization is the unique choice of development for Chinese petroleum enterprises; the first and key question is the choice of international market entry mode.Firstly, this paper starts to focus on the international market entry mode choice theories and the newest research on influencing factors. The second section checks the course and status qua of Chinese Petroleum Enterprise for internationalization, analyses their variety international market entry mode for internationalization. Based on above studies, we found Chinese Petroleum Enterprises urgently need theory directions; The main content of the third section tries to establish a"root"style choice model of dynamic & hierarchical entry mode and a"star"style integration analysis model of entry mode influencing factors, which will fill the entry mode theory blank on international market entry mode of Chinese Petroleum Enterprise, and offers some useful directions and scientific gist for Chinese enterprises, especial for huge State Owned Petroleum Enterprise for their transnational operations. The final section uses two successful and failed cases about CNPC and CNOOC to test the established mode choice and factor analysis models. At last, it points out the shortcomings on research and guide for future research.
