Research On The Product Life Cycle Of Mobile Products And The Related Procurement Behavior Of Company A

Mobile is the main trend of electronic information products. The competition of the mobile products is fierce because so many company enter into this field. Large amount of new products are developed and introduced into the market.The product's life cycle become shorter,and profit is decreased. In order to survive in the competition, company should be responsive to the market and manage the total cost of ownership well.Operation system is the important part for the mobile company in order to achieve the goal mentioned above. Company should own the advantage of the quality, flexibility, speed and cost. And the procurement's performance is the key factor for the advantage.Most of the supply chain management are focusing on the stable production. Few attention was paid to the specific requirement in the different phase of product life cycle.Based on the study of the mobile products, this paper introduce the character of the product life cycle of mobile products, and the different procurement behavior in each phase. It is composed of four chapters:Chapter 1:Introduce the basic concept and character of product life cycle, the developing history of mobile products and the mobile products'character in the life cycle.Chapter 2: Introduce the basic concept for the procurement-Definition, responsibility, developing trend, and the organization structure of Company A.Chapter 3:Study the procurement behavior and character in each phase of mobile product life cycle, based on the practise of Company A.Chapter 4:Briefly review the procurement strategy for the life cycle, and study the life cycle application in the other department.
