The Probe Of Chinese Banks' Business Development In Shanghai Region At The Beginning Period Of Fully Market-Opening To The WTO

This thesis depicted current situation of Shanghai banking industry based on the five years data from 2001 when China joined WTO to 2005. On even ground, I probed into the market structure, joint efficient and the aiming model which is suitable for the business development of Chinese banks.Then, I compared four aspects of financial results of Shanghai banking industry in 2005, which are under-performance loan ratio, income structure, earning ability and individual contribution, found the gap between Chinese and foreign banks and analyzed the reason to bring about the results through operation unit layout, service efficient, settlement network, accounting, information system, risk management, R&D ability, customer relationship, operation model and human resources.On this basis, I proposed the core competition model of Chinese banks, which is consisted of strategy, regulatory, business process, creativity, management and human resource.
