A Research Of ERP Selection Based On Enterprise Modeling

Based on the informatization and the ERP application situation of domestic company , this paper analyses the problem of ERP application at present, makes the solution focused on the selection of ERP, figures out ERP selection as the source of ERP application and core factor which determines the ERP application a success or not. Then, this paper analyses the problem of ERP selection at present, clearly find out that to establish effective selection rules and standards is the essential reason which determines ERP selection is a success or not. That means, on the one hand we should rule the selection process, utilize the necessary project management method and choose appropriate project team member; on the other hand, we request that different participants of selection utilize effective and useful company modeling tools and methodology for effective identification to management thought and management process which were hidden in company management model and ERP system, making the selection standard clear. Then I summarize and appraise the studying situation of ERP selection and company modeling outside and inside, including ERP selection method, selection process, key factors, function matching and study on company modeling theory. at the same time ,for this paper, I figure out the study frame. In this paper, based on company modeling, I figure out the standardization process of ERP selection, divide ERP selection process into six parts which from initial investigation on demand of company informatization, to company informatization planning. So company could clearly know its demand, then uses supposed standard to choose ERP product and supplier. At the same time, forming a feasible analysis report, then we could carry on business negotiation and sign the contact. In the end, based on existent and different company modeling method, I carry on a deep study on company modeling department which divided into organization modeling, function and process modeling and data modeling, figure out a series of modeling method to ERP selection.
