Correct strategy selection and management are critical to economy development of the state enterprises. Only reasonable strategy planning can ensure the clear marketing direction, enables gradual profit improvement, and realize the long-term development. In accordance with objective situation and own need to develop, BGP is obliged to improve the management level, especially the strategy management for the future. At the same time, BGP should put an emphasis on marketing strategy research to establish the marketing strategy and adjust it according to the inner or outer condition changes.This paper starts with discussion of the domestic and international marketing circumstances, present situation and development trend of geophysical prospecting industry, market distribution and core competence of domestic and international enterprises. Based on the theory of the enterprise marketing and management, and by integration of quantitative and qualitative analysis, it aims to systematically analyzes opportunities and challenges BGP is facing, the Strength, weakness and the development potential of BGP in order to determine BGP superiorities, development direction and adjustment of various businesses ,and introduce the strategy measurements of future development .Researching BGP development strategy can provides support for decision-making in the resource allocation, technology innovation, human resource development, marketing and management.
