With the development of the European Union (EU), the process of the integration in EU insurance market-an important part of the integration is also accelerating. The European Union single insurance market has set up with forty years' efforts. It improves not only the insurance company's welfare but also the EU customers' welfare. The policies made by EU act well during the establishment of the European Union single insurance market. The China's insurance market that is set up under the huge reform of China's economy unavoidably has some regulatory defects. It is high time to take some measures to reform these irrational rules and regulations. Now, it's very important to make the suitable policies draw on the successful experience of the EU which could let our country's insurance market develop in healthy, balanced, steady and orderly condition. On the basis of discussing the concepts and theories about the EU insurance market integration, this thesis will focus on analyzing thoroughly the policies which were made by EU to impel the single insurance market come into being and the policy effects and try to find out a set of practical and effective policy measures for the development of our insurance market from those practical experiences.This thesis is composed of four parts.In part one, the basic theories provided for making of the policies of the EU insurance market integration are mainly stated.
