Symbiotic merger means that the acquirer and its target company getting into together to form a new company, and integrating all of their resources, business process, responsibilities etc. Under the premise of strategy interdependence, for the long-term interests of both sides of the enterprises, in the integration process, both sides of the enterprises after symbiotic mergers maintain a certain degree of independence in terms of organization. According to the former businesses, we divide the symbiotic mergers into two kinds: symbiotic mergers with same businesses and symbiotic mergers with different businesses.Both acquirer and the target company have a good willingness to getting into together, but they have to deal with many challenges such as strategic target choice and positioning, main business and diversification, the conflicts in the process of power adjustment, the integration of corporate culture, the integration of capacity, services and products, organization design and accepting the change.It is a very important problem for the companies dealing with symbiotic mergers to integrate the direction of the new company. There are three directions of a corporate strategic development, one is the logic and deployment of portfolio strategy, the second is the industry direction adjustment and transfer, and the third is the identification and cultivation of new core competence.The strategy integration after symbiotic mergers is a dynamic process, which includes four stages: environment analysis of strategy integration, capacity analysis of strategy integration, the integration of strategic system, and system adjustment and strategy implementation. In the integration model, we unify upgrading the core competence and realizing synergy together, take enterprise's core competence as the foundation. According to the external market demand and environment changes, we carry on integration works. Only through these integration progresses, we can achieve the purpose of synergy and enhance the core competence of enterprises.
