Foreign Investment Utilization In Jiangsu Agriculture

In recent years, foreign investment has strongly promoted the economic development in China, particularly the rapid growth of foreign investment utilization in agriculture. Jiangsu Province, as the most active economic developer, has at all times been the one of the top recipients of foreign investment nationwide. The influx of foreign investment has dramatically enhanced the agricultural development in Jiangsu. The inflow of foreign investment has played an important role in making up the insufficiency of agricultural fund, procuring advanced foreign technology and quality varieties, promoting the agricultural industrialization, and eliminating the rural poverty. However, now many developing countries have fully realized the crucial roles of foreign investment in the economic growth. Because these countries have taken steps to attract the foreign investment, it is imperative for us to make research and take measures to meet the challenge in this respect.As an application research, this thesis, based on the analytic theory on the inducing factors of foreign investment influx into the agriculture and the successful practices of foreign investment promoting agricultural development, discussed the necessity and feasibility of foreign investment utilization in the agricultural development, and pointed out how to develop foreign-oriented agriculture scientifically, reasonably, and efficiently by taking advantage of the favorable investment conditions in Jiangsu. First, this thesis presented the background, objectives and significance of foreign investment utilization in Jiangsu agriculture. The theory of foreign direct investment (FDI) is cited to find out the hypothesis of its application in agriculture. Then the thesis covered the evolution, status quo,features, roles, and problems of foreign investment inflow into Jiangsu agriculture. Through the analysis of determinants, the thesis pointed out the strategies and orientation of promoting the foreign agricultural investment utilization in Jiangsu. From the above-mentioned, the thesis included the following aspects.1.The hypothesis of foreign agricultural investment on the basis of FDI theory.2.The evolution, status quo and features of foreign investment utilization in the agriculture.3.The promotion role and problems of foreign agricultural investment utilization.4.The Analysis of inducing factors of foreign investment inflow through citing the example of Donghai County Fruit Juice Factory of Lianyungang Municipality.5.The strategies of promoting foreign investment utilization in Jiangsu through the analysis of determinants.It is hoped that this thesis could provide help in the application research of development of foreign-oriented agriculture in Jiangsu, particularly the research of foreign investment in the agriculture.
