As a social phenomenon, conflict exists in enterprise generally. The result of conflict management can affect the initiative of the staff, then influence the benefit of project and the realization of organization's aim. So the conflict management is a problem that must be discussed during Business Management. Small and medium-sized enterprises(SME) are the important component of the economy of our country. They are playing a more and more important role in social economy. In recent years, the quantity of conflict inside middle & small private enterprises is rising constantly. Hence it is so must necessary to study on managing conflicts in small and medium-sized enterprises, aiming at its backgrounds and features.On the basis of the modern conflict management theories and in combination with the real data, this thesis analyzes the behavior, characteristics and influence factors of the conflicts inside small and medium-sized enterprises, and offers the methods of conflict management. Firstly, the thesis reviews the conflict management theories of the western countries, and detailed summarizes the Chinese literatures about conflict management over the past 20 years. Secondly, through analyzing the present issues of small and medium-sized enterprises, the thesis finds out the conflict influence factors existing inside enterprises and in the external environment condition, and studys the behaviors and features of the conflict abuout the individuals and groups. Finally, the thesis put forward tactics and methods of preventing , dealing with and stimulating the conflict. The purpose is to keep conflict quantity and intensity in enterprises at an appropriate level.
