Research On The Application Of EVA In Performance Auditing Evaluation

In the 2003-2007 Auditing Development Plan, the National Audit Office puts forward"Attaching equal importance to the truthfulness and legality, as well as the efficiency in auditing financial revenues and expenses, and gradually increasing the percentage of the efficiency audit year by year, in a bid to make it take up half of the whole auditing force."This is the result of the rapid development of our national audit undertaking, signaling the audit shifting from mistake correction and fraud prevention to efficiency and effectiveness. Efficiency audit is bound to become the mainstream of modern audit, which represents the development trend. However, the bone of contention in current auditing theories includes how to carry out efficiency audit, and how to establish the evaluation system of efficiency audit. This thesis is dedicated to exploring and discussing these questions through actual case study.The thesis undergoes a systematic analysis of current research status in quo domestic and abroad, and then finds out the demerits of current research. It is an efficiency audit evaluation system study that takes into consideration the factual situation of our country, starting with which, it undertakes a systematic research. First, on the basis of the previous research achievements, the thesis analyzes the essence of economic efficiency audit, and defines the EVA index as the efficiency audit evaluation index, and the statistic descriptive prediction data as the standard of the evaluation index. Second, applying linear regress cause and effect predication method, it expounds the logical linear relationship between EVAand sales revenue. Then it foretells the economic profit through sales revenue, and assesses the enterprise value by applying economic profit value evaluation model. Finally it uses the results of the assessment to carry out efficiency audit, finds out the problems and their reasons existing in the company, and then works out solutions.Efficiency audit is a new type of audit, derived from conventional audit, but in excess of conventional audit. It is a methodical task, which includes many parts, ranging from seeking ways to judge the quality of operational efficiency to problem detection, and from analyzing the reasons of problems to proposing solutions, and all through to the implementation of solution proposals as well as the follow-up situation research.
