The asset scale and economic profit of the company is at the top level in capacitor industry. In recent years, with the cut-throated market competition, the company meets great difficulties, along with good opportunities to farther development. At the development crossroad, it is necessary to make out the development strategy for the company, which plays important roles for the future.In the thesis, the author analyzes the macro-environment, the capacitor industry competitive environment, and the company internal capabilities. With the help of SWOT analytical method, the author studies the competitive advantages, disadvantages, opportunity, and potential threat of the company. Based on the analysis, the author brings out two development strategies suited for the company: diversification strategy and international strategy. The implementation of diversification strategy can disperse operating risks, widen the space for further development, adapt to the environmental changes. Furthermore, the approach can increase the possibility of success for the coming enterprise reform, because it would offer job opportunities to laid-off workers. The implementation of international strategy can make full use of the production capacity, develop the international market, learn the new technology and management experiences from foreign countries. With the trends of economy globalization, the company needs to operate internationally.The goal of strategic management is to enforce competitive advantages, then to achieve excellent economic performance. The company has to implement the chosen strategies efficiently and effectively, that needs it pay more attention to the following issues, such as property rights reform, organizational structure, human resource, strategic alliances, compensation system, technology innovation, and enterprise culture, etc.
