Performance technology professionals utilize performance interventions to improve organizational and individual performances. There are more than 50 interventions frequently used, among which action learning is one of the favorite of organizations. Action learning has been widely used in the field of vocational education, tertiary education and corporate training. The integration of learning experience and working tasks in action learning has been increasingly highly regarded as a new method of organization learning.This paper has adopted several research approach, such as survey, thorough interview, literature reading and context analysis. According to the analysis of literature related with action learning from home and abroad, action learning has been utilized to develop management skills, facilitate organization culture change, but yet not to develop other specific skills. Based on the interview of over 10 sales expert, the author has conducted a sample evaluation of the current performance status of sales people and summarized the problems of the current frequently used intervention, sales training.Based on the main findings of the investigation and the features of action learning , this paper elaborate the feasibility of the application of action learning on the improvement of sales people. Specific suggestions are also designed to improve performance of sales people as an assistance to current sales training. It is also a tentative exploration of the application of action learning.
