| On the background of economic globalization and regional economic integration, AFTA is a remarkable sub-regional trade arrangement which lies in Asia region. It is the universal international public opinion that the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) will not only promote the fast development of China and ASEAN economy but also change the whole Asian political and economical trend.The economical cooperation of ASEAN was originally from 1970s. The 10 countries in ASEAN are near neighbors of China. In order to maintain and develop the affiliation of friendly cooperation with ASEAN to form stable surroundings and open up the markets in peripheral nations, China has been committing itself to strengthen the affiliation with ASEAN. On Nov. 6th 2001, China-ASEAN reached a proposal of establishing CAFTA in the next 10 years. This agreement is a milestone of overall cooperation between China and ASEAN, which remarks the cooperation of the economy and trade has stepped into a new era. On Nov. 4th 2002, Chinese Premier and 10 leaders of ASEAN members signed an agreement, which is called .
