Study The Value Of Tengchong Geological Park And Way Of Realizing The Park's Value

Human beings recognize the importance of the heritage of the earth in the history of taking advantage and remaking nature and they begin paying more attention to the protection of the geological heritage. The best method to protect the geological heritage is to establish the geological parks. According to the principles of construction, human beings not only need to protect geological heritage but also develop National Geological parks (National Geo-park) reasonably and spread the scientific knowledge of the earth. National Geo-park opens the new field for science of the earth servicing society.Tengchong geological park, which is located in the western part of Yunnan Province, owns the main part of geological heritage of volcanoes and terrestrial heat which hold special geologically scientific meanings and important aesthetical value. It is still a unique natural region which combines some other natural scenes such as forests and moist soil with the landscape of the pluralistic cultures in the border areas. However, as a new thing, the value of Tengchong Geological Park has not been recognized fully and its present construction and development are not so good. It is far from taking good effect. So, the research and discovery of the value of Tengchong Geological Park is realistically meaningful to the approaches of realizing its value.On the base of the outdoor research and the research from other scholars, this thesis does some research to the value of Tengchong Geological Park and the ways to realize its value by comprehensively plural-subject theories and methods. 1. This thesis gives a little research about the geological background, styles, distributions and characteristics of this park and research about the typicality, rareness of the geological heritage and the elegance which involves in the natural and human landscape and which is expressed by them in order to show the obvious values of science, the scientific popularization, biology, historical culture, tourism and economy. 2. After the research of the present conditions and the base of Tengchong Geological Parks, the best way to realize the Park's value is to develop tourism and to do some research to the models of the touring development. In line with the aim of protecting geological heritage, the subject of scientific tourism and the task of realizing value (The first should be social value of scientific education.), we should explore to establish a set of developing models of tourism in which the developing ideas, aims, product skills are quite different from those of other touring places. 3.
