Located in the northwestern part of Fujian Province, Wuyi Moutain is the most outstanding area for biodiversity conservation in southeast China and a refuge for a large number of ancient, relict species, many of them endemic to China. Wuyishan city is the famous scenic tourist cities in our country, in which tourism is the leading industry. In December 1999, Wuyi Mountain was included on the World Natural and Cultural Heritage List by the 23rd Session of the World Heritage Committee of the UNESCO, being given the comment "a natural landscape so unique, rare and marvelous, is the beauty of nature and embodiment of the harmonious relations between human being and environment". Covering a total area of 999.75 square kilometers, Wuyi Mountain is now the largest of China's World Heritage sites. Wuyishan Scenery District, which is one of the key scenic spot of tourist interest in our country, is the most essence part of the tourism net of Wuyishan city, and it also gives prominence to the national tourism net.As the most essence part of the Natural and Cultural World Heritage sites, Wuyishan Scenery District is given considerable attention by many experts and scholars. And a large number of scientific and inspective research results are obtained. Up till now, considerable research on Wuyishan Scenery District mainly deals with the research of forest ecosystem, the evaluation of tourist resources, the cultivation and production of tea and the culture of tea. However the researches on tourist behave and local residents' perception of tourist impacts in Wuyishan Scenery District is relatively limited. Based on lots of on-the-spot investigations and surveys, this thesis studies the characteristics of domestic tourist flows and residents' perceptionof tourist impacts in Wuyishan Scenery District. The thesis consists of five chapters: In Chapter One, the author firstly makes a summary on the related progress in the area oftourist flows and tourist impacts research both at home and broad. And then, he introduces theresearch backgrounds, main contents, research methods and the general situation of researcharea.In Chapter Two, the author makes some study on the demographic characteristics ofdomestic tourist flows in Wuyishan Scenery District, such as gender, age, educational level,...
