Analysis On Industry Life Cycle Of Chinese Steel Industry

Steel industry is basic and supporting industry for country's economy. As an important guideline to judge a country's industry degree and integrated national power, steel industry play an important role in national economy. China has become the biggest steel production country since 1996, but because there are some problems such as low centrality, bad product structure, weak creation, disordered distribution etc, China is far from the world steel great power. It is necessary to adjust Chinese steel industry's developing strategy. This paper try to study development trend of Chinese steel industry at view of industry life cycle, which will bring great academic and practical meaning to Chinese steel industry's continual development and transition to world steel great power.This paper first introduce related industry life cycle theory, then study the American, Japanese, Korean steel industry life cycle using many collected data, making off each phase of steel industry life cycle, summarizing law of styled steel countries. Next, linking to Chinese data, comparing to styled steel countries, using law of styled steel countries, judge that Chinese steel industry is in growing phase and predict that China will be the next center of world steel industry. At this point, this paper forecast prospect of Chinese steel industry using life cycle curve, estimate steel industry's peak and inflexion time, finish the mid-long time estimation to Chinese steel industry. At last, this paper propose some countermeasures to Chinese steel industry aiming at main problems.
