Limousine, as a comprehensive concept, should have the preconditions of high quality and high technology; besides, stylization, individuation and centuries-old brand value are even the necessities. The Chinese limousine market has developed in a way that experienced from monopoly to diversification, from the naissance of Red Flag 770 - the first generation of domestically-produced limousine in 1960s to the pouring of various limousines represented by Benz, BMW and Audi A6. With the gradual opening of Chinese car industry and the continuous increase of the demand for limousines, fierce competitions have shown up in Chinese limousine market among transnational automakers, by means of their own advantages on the brands and quality. In order to preempt the market share and snatch a higher profit margin, transnational carmakers have deployed a round of full-scale competition on price, quality, product differentiation and service, etc, through export or local production, in the Chinese limousine market.Influenced by some factors like globalization and production over-capacity, the integration of the world car industry has further accelerated since the beginning of the new century. A new pattern of six-plus-three has formed in the global car industry, that is, GM, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Renault-Nissan and three independent carmakers, which are Honda, BMW and Peugeot-Citroen. At present, the output of the six-plus-three carmakers has accounted for 82.17 percent of the car output in the world. Definitely, a gigantic system of global car market is under the direct control of these transnational carmakers and follows their desires to proceed.China is regarded as a good market by transnational carmakers for their businesses.
