Constructing And Application Of Information Management Platform System Based On Web For Jiangsu Forestry Industry

Poplar tree resources and its industry is the main body of forestry in Jiangsu, covering a whole big industry chain consisting of resources cultivation, seedling industry, forestation, wood processing and furniture manufacture industry, which not only solves the employment problems for millions of local people, creates billions of social wealths annually, but also plays an important and effective role in improving ecological environment, water and soil conservation, and increasing forest coverage as well. This chain has the prominent influence on building Jiangsu forestry and even on the development of the entire province economic and the further development of ecological environment. Constructing an information management platform system based on Web and GIS for Jiangsu forestry industry is necessary to further speed up the construction of Jiangsu polar resource and the sustainable development of related industries.The thesis firstly reviewed the present situation of poplar resources in Jiangsu province, and then put forward the whole frame for construction a web-based forestry resource information management platform system. Based on further analysis of the fundamental management theory of forestry resource, the platform system for Jiangsu poplar industry was set up by combining information technology with GIS, and the following three key functions of application were developed for the system: firstly, jspoplar.cn was designed and constructed, by which it is intuitionistic to show general situation and the development of poplar industry to people from the whole society; secondly, a web-based forestry resource information management platform system was established, by which it is possible to organize and manage the poplar resource well, thus makes good use of the poplar resources; finally, the online work platform of jspoplar.cn was put into effect, by which the management level and working efficiency were highly improved. Due to the web-based character of the established platform, online editor was a necessary means in building the platform and its application was introduced in the last part of the thesis.By studying and establishing the web-based information management platform, the purposes of the thesis were to carry out effective organization and integration to improve the application level and value of poplar information, thus makes both management level and means go to a higher stage.
