Credit worthiness is one of the key elements of all businesses in the modern society. The economy of a country cannot develop smoothly without a powerful credit system. The development of the credit evaluating system in China, however, is not compatible with the development of Chinese economy. For example, the rating method is not very effective.In order to solve this problem, this thesis aims to frame a reasonable rating system to evaluate the creditworthiness of business. Thus the credit information can be provided to government, bank and other related organizations. After a careful study, this thesis achieves the following goals:After analyzing the situation of credit worthiness of the whole society, a quantitative method to evaluate the credit worthiness is devised. This dissertation selects 67 listed companies as its sample and focus on their financial ratios. 12 financial ratios, which are related to the business's credit worthiness, are selected to build the credit rating model. By this model, we can get the credit worthiness of all listed companies. After building the model to analyze the credit ratings of companies, the dissertation also answers the question of how to build the environment which is more suitable for the development of credit rating industry.
