Under the trend of the revolution of science, urban is less competitive which is traditional viewed as the region competitor.As the development of social-economic, the relationship between the intra-region and inter-region are getting tighter and tighter, and it is crucial to study the economic relationship between regions. The studies which focus on the economic relationship between regions are mainly about the Yangtze-delta metropolitan area and other much developed area, while the empirical studies which are focused on the relationship in western part of china hardly exists. Lan-Xin railway, which plays a irreplaceable role in western economy, fosters the relationships between the cities along the railway, thus formations and developments of those relationships and the main directions which cities relates others are of great importance to coordinate the cooperation and competition between cities.This paper which takes those nine administrative cities along the Lan-Xin railway as research subject uses the modified gravity model to evaluate the relationship degree, and several factors which have impacts on economic relationships were evaluated, and hence several countermeasures were put out to foster the positive relationship.There are six chapters in this paper: chapter 1 introduces the background and meaning of this study; chapter 2 illustrates the relevant research theory and literary review about the relationship between the regions, which illustrate the relevant theory and the research progress; chapter 3 compares the status quo of the economic development of those cities and the intensity and structure of cities flow are compared based on the cities flow model; chapter 4 introduces the modified gravity model to compute the economic relation intensity; chapter 5 put out several countermeasures to foster the positive relationship among those cities; chapter 6 is the conclusions of this paper.
