Unbalanced economy development in regions is a widespread problem in all countries, is also a basic situation of China. There are many reasons of forming this situation, but the role of industrial agglomeration should not be ignored as one of the reasons. Industrial agglomeration is a widespread economic phenomenon. But since the Marshall, The research of agglomeration mostly concentrates on the industrial field. The research on the Service Industrial Agglomeration is quite few, and mostly focus on the produce services and finance. With the world economy changing from"industrial-based economy"to"service-based economy", the service industry is becoming more and more important in the national economy. What's the role of the service industrial agglomeration in promoting the economic growth? It is worth studying in depth. New Economic Geography ( NEG ) represented by Paul Krugman provides a new interpretation of industry agglomeration, which take the location factor of economic activities into the analysis of economic theory and research the principle of industry agglomeration and scatter in space. The theory provides a new perspective on regional economic disparities. Inspired by New Economic Ggeography theory, we using service industrial agglomeration perspective as a logical starting point to analyze its influence to regional coordinative development. This thesis adopts the research methods such as the combination of theory and empirical studying. First, we measure the regional economic disparities of our country from province dimension and eight regions dimension. And then,we choose a number of indicators to analyze the level of the service industrial agglomeration. Based on these, the study researches the relationship of the service industrial agglomeration and regional economic growth. The results show that:①T he disparities among regions expand quickly. However, the inside difference of each region is shrinking gradually. The total regional disparity comes from the regional disparity between the eight economic regions.②S ince 1978,the level of service industrial agglomeration has greatly improved. Beijing, Shanghai and Tibetan have high LQ. They have reached a high level of specialization in service. From the perspective of eight economic zones, we find that, the lower economic level region, the higher level of service industrial agglomeration, and vice versa. From the industry perspective, the agglomeration level of finance and insurance industry is the highest. But it seems to present the trend of premature aging. ③The service industrial agglomeration has a positive effect on regional economic growth to some extent, but different aspect measures of service industrial agglomeration have different effect in degree. In 2000, our national services cluster promoting regional economic growth mainly depends on the concentration of human capital and physical capital concentration, but the employment density has a negative effect on it. From 2001 to 2009, the service industrial employment density has a positive effect on regional economic growth. During 2000-2009, the effect of human capital concentration turns from positive to negative, which may imply that over-agglomeration of human capital in the eastern caused by China's long-term labor migratory has begun to have inhibitory effect.④The result of spatial convergence analysis on the effect from service industrial agglomeration to regional economic growth shows that: the degree of human capital concentration and economic openness have a significant active effect on economic convergence; the employment density and the degree of physical capital concentration have a positive effect on economic convergence as well.Based on the above conclusions, from the perspective of service industrial agglomeration this thesis gives the following suggestions for regional coordinative development: more preferential policies to underdeveloped areas; more regional co-operations; raise the level of opening up and the speed of undertaking industrial transfer; raise the inputs of human capital and the level of human capital in underdeveloped areas.
