With the development of economic rapid and stable growth, the income level of urban and rural residents unceasing enhancement, the total retail sales of consumer goods in catering enterprises in China society, shows a strong growing in the development of strong momentum.But there is some problem such as low industrial concentration and enterprise management level and so on. What are the factors affecting China's catering industry development?This paper,by studying development status of catering enterprises in China, display that catering industry social total retail sales of consumer goods is growing up, the enterprise scale unceasingly expands, the number of employees has increased, operating income increasing. Judging from the composition, catering service industry as the main body and other catering service is growthing. Catering enterprises instructions are heading for diversified development in China.But there is some development of industrial concentration also exists,such as faouring catering service structural contradictions are relatively obvious, the domestic catering enterprises' independent innovation ability is low and the regional differences in the problem. For the thorough analysis on the restaurant industry development, the macroeconomic factors based on cross-sectional data, using the principal component regression analysis method, economic development level is the important factors decided that China's catering industry development level, Per capita GDP, urbanization rate, rural per capita net income, urban residents income, international tourism income, foreign investment, tourism reception, number of government spending on food industry development all play positive stimulative effect. This paper also through to 1978-2009 catering social total retail sales of consumer goods and per capita GDP analysis of time series data, through the error correction model reveals catering industry and economic development level, this paper expounds the relationship between short-term and long-term balance of influence.we find that per capita GDP level 1 percentage point, food consumption level by an average of 1.0514 percentage points. Finally, we put forward pertinently countermeasures and Suggestions of developing catering enterprises in China.
