Study On Corporate Assets' Impairment Of West-to-East Gas Pipeline Company

At present, along with the increase of gas consumption, gas pipeline company develops rapidly and the scale continues to expand, meanwhile, the types of pipeline companies'asset is increasing and the asset is special. According to the accounting standards, the pipeline company should regularly take the asset impairment test ,however,the companies'asset impairment is zero. With the development of our economic and political environment, the possibility of asset impairment is increasing, therefore the pipeline company should regularly take the asset impairment test according to accounting standards. At the same time, the corporate asset of pipeline company is service for the West-to-East gas pipeline project and plays a great part for the project. Whether the company makes accurate provision, it can directly affect the companies'asset safety and affect the managers to make management decisions. Therefore, in my opinion, on the pipeline company provision for impairment, we should reasonably identify an impaired asset and measure its recoverable amount.At first, the paper makes an analysis about the West-to-East gas pipeline companies'asset and summary the problems about the pipeline companies'asset impairment, according to the analysis, we think that the companies'asset is consisted by fixed asset. Secondly, I make a total study about the West-to-East gas transmission pipeline companies'corporate asset, on the basis of the inter-external pipeline company and similar industry asset impairment. In order to study the pipeline companies'corporate asset impairment, I firstly define the corporate asset and judge the corporate asset impairment signs, then the most important is to apportion and measure the corporate asset. I apportion the corporate asset according to the turnover of gas or the consumption of gas, what's more, I measure the corporate asset from different aspect, using the probability and expectancy method. After that, I take an example about corporate asset to explain the method.
