Power Enterprise Efficiency Analysis Based On Simulation And Data Envelopment Analysis

Efficiency is one of the key issues in economic research, and also one of production and operation management objectives. With the establishment of modern enterprise system and market-oriented mechanism since China's reform and opening up policy, the economy have made remarkable achievements. Meanwhile, the issue of enterprise and its efficiency also be the focus of current researches.Chinese power industry has been conducting a series of reforms since 1980s. But the phenomena of high investment, high output, low price and low efficiency of electric power industry still exist, which actually has hindered the healthy and sustainable development of Chinese economy. So, mechanism reform of power industry is imperative and urgent. And it is also quite essential to explore research methods of the efficiency of power generation enterprise scientifically and practically.This paper first makes literature reviews on enterprise efficiency home and abroad, and summarizes related research methods and results. Then, this paper analyzes the current status of Chinese power industry. Further, this paper formulates simulation data envelope analysis model of the efficiency of power generation enterprise based on relevant indicators.From the point of view of data envelopment analysis, this paper first introduces CCR model. And then, thorough comparing the advantage and disadvantage of data envelopment analysis, this paper adopts simulation data envelopment analysis model. What's more, this paper further formulates a simulation data envelopment analysis model of power enterprise efficiency by analyzing the domestic and foreign scholars'study on the index of enterprise efficiency under the condition of the characteristics of China's power industry. Finally, this paper takes an empirical analysis on seventeen power vendors and compares the results with that of CCR model, and verifies the effectiveness of simulation data envelopment analysis in the power enterprise efficiency, then analysis the efficiency of four different types power enterprise, which may provide some guidance on how to improve the efficiency of power industry and effectively assign electric power resource.
