Study On Upgrade Of Harbor Industries In Ningbo

In 1970s, the city of Ningbo constructed the port and developed the harbor industries. The harbor industries of Ningbo experienced a budding, formation, the rapid development and diversification of four stages. Now, they consist of harbor industry and harbor services, and harbor industries are made up of petrochemical industry, energy industry, steel industry, transport equipment industry and paper industry. The harbor industries have been one-third of the city's total industrial output value. However, there are a many problems. The traditional industries are high-pollution, high consumption, high-cost, low-income. There are still significant constraining factors and structural contradictions. Therefore, the selection of study on upgrade of harbor industries in Ningbo has a strong practical significance.In this paper, the relevant theory of industrial upgrading, using ahead of the industrial structure factor and the two economic indicators, focused on analysis of Ningbo direction and upgrade the degree of industrial processing and access to value-added capabilities. The study found: only a small number of industries are ahead of development, most of the lags; a small number of industrial processing capacity in their ascent phase, most of the decline; the vast majority of industries in the global value chain for value-added capacity has been increasing. Overall, development situation of harbor industries is not optimistic. Harbor service is less than the size of harbor industries at the initial stage of development, but the development of space and the potential for relatively large, and the future of port industry development trend. Therefore, we must intensify efforts to support the development of harbor services.To achieve industrial upgrading we should correctly understand the current conditions for the development, Ningbo harbor industries and opportunities. This paper analyzes the Ningbo port and industrial upgrading four strengths and four constraints, as well as five opportunities. At the same time, highlighting the two countries, Japan and the Netherlands port industry development experience, come to enhance the port industry insight. Finally, the paper industry, according to the realities of Ningbo , the industrial optimization and upgrading of the inherent laws, put forward specific path of industrial upgrading in Ningbo.
