Assessment Of Changhai County Island Sustainable Development

Islands possess very important value in the maintenance of national marine rights and national security, especially in promoting the healthy development of area economy and society and good ecological environment. Based on sustainable development theory and with reference to index system of land oriented sustainable development, ChangHai County, a island and sea dominant county, is used to as a case to establish island oriented sustainable development integrated assessment index system and assessment models with regard to resource support system, ecological-environment system, economic development system and social-intelligence system. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method was used to determine the weight of index system of ChangHai county island resources support system, ecological environment system, economic development system, and society-intelligence system. The sustainable development level of ChangHai County is assessed quantitatively and the main factors affecting the sustainable development of ChangHai County are addressed in this paper. Compared with other evaluation method of commonly used, AHP method and comprehensive index classification method were choosed to implement ChangHaiXian island sustainable development of comprehensive evaluation, analysis ChangHaiXian overall level of sustainable development and the main influence factors and its influence level. In the end some suggestions and countermeasures on how to improve the sustainable development level of Changhai County are put forward tentatively.
