Comparison In Low And Medium Low Industries Between Europe And China

LMT industries in generally can be understood as a group of industries which is directly supporting the common family life. Meanwhile, LMT industries accounts for a large proportion of the GDP and employment population. From the provinces and regions perspective, LMT industries are also very important for improving China's international competitiveness, promoting economic growth and increasing employment and building environment friendly resources-conservation society.In this paper, we discuss the definitions of innovation and innovation in LMT industries. We define the technology innovation of LMT industries as a process which contain three stage: technology acquisition, technology application, technology success. We selected three indicators for each of the stages to survey the technology innovation in the MLT industries in Europe and China. We consider the comparison between China and European countries is a typical comparison between big developing country and small developed country. We find that China's LMT industries tend to expand in size with fewer R&D while the European countries tend to do more. To promote the technology innovation in LMT industries, we suggest that the government should encourage the rural residents to establish their own enterprises. And the service industry in city could support the development of rural in agriculture and manufacturing. The government's innovation policy should pay more attention to LMT industries, and more fund should be expended to higher education, which would help the scientific research activities in LMT industries.
